Rookie Winkelspecht Snatches Duel #2!

Duel #2 had the bulk of controversy throughout Speedweeks this season. A late race caution led to chaos during a green white checkered which saw rookie Eric Winkelspecht capture his first ITRL checkered flag. Driver of the 05 Chevrolet, Eric led the final two circuits enroute to his first ever ITRL victory. Another rookie in Zach Millett came home second after a fairly uneventful race. Sawyer Ott looked to be in the prime position until a late race caution threw his race into disarray, he led the most laps of the Duel after starting dead last in the field. Controversy creeped in on the penultimate lap when both Kevin West and Matt Kloosterhuis passed below the double yellow line, which caused their impressive finishes to be thrown out the window. They will now start the Lucky Dawgs 250 near the rear of the field after the penalty.
