Season 2 ITRL VRX Simulators Premier Series Champion Donald Sadusky survives a wild last lap in the Season 8 opener at Talladega to win his first race in over three years! The former champ is likely headed to the playoffs for what would be the third time in his Premier Series career and the first time in four seasons. Despite starting dead last in 33rd, the pilot of the 19 car was able to fight to the front and lead a race high 24 laps while also scoring his fifth Premier Series win and seventh overall ITRL win. The win by Sadusky also breaks a 29 race winless streak dating back to February 4th of 2020 in Season 4 at Talladega. This is the third Premier Series Talladega win for Sadusky adding to a Rush Dega win as well. Matt Quick was able to survive carnage and secure second place while Matt Kloosterhuis rounded out the podium. Haulin Ass Pole Award winner and Duel 1 winner Ray Ritenour led an impressive 22 laps and picked up the stage one win en route to a sixth place finish. Josh Culley led 7 laps and won stage two before finishing tenth. Duel 2 winner Matt Cherry brought home a ninth place finish. Paul Mrzywka was the top finishing All Gas TV Rookie with a fifth place result. Quick emerged as the early point leader over Culley while Sippin Shine Racing kicked off the season with an impressive team points lead with a 50+ point margin.
