Storm Patterson 9/6/22 - "Final season gonna wait another year"
On the night of the biggest field in ITRL history, 47 trucks took to the 2.5 mile Daytona international speedway under the lights, and Storm Patterson was able to walk away with the Victory. After just leading 1 lap prior to the final one, Storm was able to potentially lock himself into the playoffs with a 3 wide pass coming to the checkered. The race wasn’t just about the last lap 3 wide coming to the line, it saw lots of 3 wide action with even 4-5 wide at times which resulted in some destruction. 7 cautions flew on Tuesday night, most of which had multiple vehicles involved, unfortunately it left 13 trucks more than 1 lap down. Donald Sandusky would lead the most laps with 20, but fell just outside the top 15 when the checkered flew. 13 trucks in all would lead laps at the World center of Racing during the 200 mile race, which went into two overtimes. M&M Motorsports was able to secure the top 2 spots putting them well ahead in the team points going into week two. Next week the ITRL Gutter Team Truck Series heads to a Hot and Slick Las Vegas Motor Speedway for 100 laps of torture. Will Storm Patterson go back to back? Will someone else potentially lock themselves into the playoffs? Will last seasons champion Will Larue show the other drivers how its done? Tune into MaxspeedTV at 9pm EST to find out.
